Summers in Maryland can be brutal, so the last thing that you want is to be in a Honda vehicle with an AC that’s on the fritz. If you see any of the following warning signs, schedule prompt Honda service to get your AC system inspected and serviced!
When Do You Need Honda Service for Your AC?
As you probably imagined, one of the most common signs of trouble is that your Honda vehicle is no longer blowing cold air when you turn on the air conditioner. However, there may be some warning signs before this happens so you can fix the issue sooner rather than later.
The first thing you should pay attention to is what sounds you hear when you first turn on the AC. If you hear anything out of the ordinary, you should schedule service at Heritage Honda as soon as possible.
When you have the AC running, you should notice some water dripping from the front of your car onto the road. A small amount of fluid is okay as that means that condensation is naturally dripping from the compressor. However, a major amount of fluid may mean that coolant is leaking from a line at a fast pace.
Chances are that the situation can be fixed by running a sealant through the AC line, but if the problem persists, we may need to replace some of the system with our genuine Honda parts through the Heritage Honda parts center.
If you don’t see any moisture leaking at all when your AC is running, that means that the moisture is going somewhere it shouldn’t like inside your car. Check for any wet spots around your floor mats or near the center console area.
