If you're in the market for a used Honda car, you might have some questions. One thing we're frequently asked about here at Heritage Honda is the warranty. Do used cars come with a warranty? Many of them do.

Cars With an Active New Car Warranty

If you buy a used Honda vehicle that's only a few years old, its new car warranty will likely still be active. In that case, the warranty would transfer to you, the new owner. All new Honda vehicles are covered by a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty, along with a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.

A limited warranty covers a wide range of parts and systems in your vehicle. It can help if there's an unexpected issue with the HVAC system, your battery, or even your audio system. Powertrain coverage can help if you run into issues with your engine, the drivetrain, or transmission.

Certified Pre-Owned Honda Vehicles

Any Certified Pre-Owned Honda car on our lot also comes with its own warranty coverage. Every one of these models features seven years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage. If you have purchased a vehicle that still has an active New Vehicle Limited Warranty, that coverage gets extended to four years or 48,000 miles. If that new vehicle warranty has expired, you get one year or 12,000 miles of Honda Certified Non-Powertrain Coverage.

CPO Honda models can also qualify for other types of coverage, including roadside assistance and trip interruption.
