The base Honda Civic comes with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that put out 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. With the Type R trim, however, those numbers climb substantially. It has a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.
The base model has a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while Type R comes with a six-speed manual transmission. It also has high-performance Brembo brakes, an adaptive suspension, and a limited-slip differential.
