When you want the versatility of a pickup truck but you’re not interested in a full-sized truck, Honda has you covered. For years, the carmaker has produced a top-tier compact model, the Honda Ridgeline. In addition to having great drivability, these used Honda trucks have impressive power.

The Heritage Honda Parkville team is here to go over what to expect with older models.

2019 Honda Ridgeline

For a smaller truck, the Honda Ridgeline really packs a punch. The 2019 model is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that offers 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, and while front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is an option.

When properly equipped, this truck can tow up to 5,000 lbs, and it has a maximum payload of 1,580 lbs.

2020 Honda Ridgeline

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline has the same specs as the 2019 model. It too comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, along with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This truck can also tow up to 5,000 lbs and haul up to 1,580 lbs.

2021 Honda Ridgeline

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is similar to the 2020 model. It has the exact same engine, along with duplicate horsepower and torque numbers. One change is that all-wheel drive is standard. Plus, the maximum payload increases slightly to 1,583 lbs.

2022 Honda Ridgeline

Honda clearly follows the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach with the Honda Ridgeline. The 2022 model is virtually identical to the 2021 model, but you may be able to find a pre-owned version with less miles on the odometer.
